Baksh joined the band as the third member, after Deryck Whibley and Steve Jocz formed Sum 41 in the summer of 1996. Baksh plays lead guitar and is the band's main musical driving force, he also does the back-up vocals. Baksh was born in Canada to immigrants from Guyana. He is married to Jenn Baksh. He has his own fanlisting http://www.davebaksh.com and enjoys bands such as Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Yngwie Malmsteen. Dave is Pleasure in Sum 41's alter-ego band Pain for Pleasure.
