Darren Lockyer has big boots to fill but as one of the game's greatest talents, he is the logical replacement for the legendary Gorden Tallis. Just as impressive at five eighths as he was at fullback, Lockyer had a stellar 2004 captaining the Kangaroos and winning the Provan Summons medal at the Dally M awards. Almost unstoppable in attack with brilliant kicking and passing skills, Lockyer will be looking for a premiership in his first year as club captain.

Darren had a remarkable 2004 season and was labelled "The Best Player in the world" at the end of the season, he will be looking to add to that in 2005.
