Darden Restaurants, Incorporated {{nyse|DRI}} is a holding company controlled by Joe Lee, a founder of the Red Lobster seafood restaurant chain. It owns the stock of several casual dining restaurant chains, including both Red Lobster and the Italian-themed Olive Garden, and has done so since 1995. Today, Darden owns and operates more than 1300 restaurant locations throughout North America.
