Vettori is a slow left-arm orthodox spinner, but he is known for his flight and guile rather than prodigious turn or pinpoint accuracy. He took his 200th Test wicket in Zimbabwe in 2005, becoming only the third New Zealand bowler (after Richard Hadlee and Chris Cairns) to pass that mark http://usa.cricinfo.com/db/STATS/NZ/BOWLING/TEST_BOWL_MOST_WKTS_NZ.html, and his 139 ODI wickets place him fifth on the all-time New Zealand table for most wicketshttp://usa.cricinfo.com/db/STATS/NZ/BOWLING/ODI_BOWL_MOST_WKTS_NZ.html.
