Daniel Quillen
Daniel Quillen (born June 27, 1940) is an American mathematician, a Fields Medallist, and the current Waynflete Professor of Pure Mathematics at Magdalen College, Oxford. He earned both his bachelor's degree, in 1961, and his PhD, in 1964, from Harvard University.
