Daniel Pearl

Daniel Pearl (October 10, 1963–January 29/30, 2002) was a journalist, an American-Israeli dual citizen. He was kidnapped and murdered in Karachi, Pakistan, while investigating the case of convicted shoe bomber Richard Reid.

Controversy

After Pearl's kidnapping, his relatives attempted to conceal his dual U.S.?Israeli citizenship, fearing that revealing this would hinder the investigation efforts by Pakistani police to apprehend the killers and track down the brutally murdered reporter's body.
