Dana Macsim

Dana Macsim (born on December 11, 1972) is a television journalist for the romanian network National TV and anchor of ?Jurnal de pranz National TV? (National TV's Noon News) from July 2005.

Macsim was born and raised in Piatra Neamt, Romania, and received her French - Romanian Filology degree at Universitatea George Bacovia (George Bacovia University) in 1996. From 2005 she is a graduate student - master degree - at Bucharest University - School of Jurnalism.

She served as a reporter and news editor for ?Canal 6 TV? in Bacau, Romania, from 1992 until 1996, then was hired by Prima TV as news correspondent. From 2003 she was a field correspondent and news anchor for National TV, working also a small period of time for N24 TV, a news station from the same network. Starting from July 2005 she is sole news anchor for the National TV's Noon News Journal.

As one of Romania's most dedicated journalists, Macsim reported many of the recent events in Romania. She covered the 2004?s winning election of Basescu, the 2005?s worst floodings in a century in Romania and the romanian journalists drama, kidnapped in Irak. She hosted several cultural events and received some awards for her activity as a news correspondent.
