Dalmatic
Rather similar to the chasuble, the dalmatic (one of the liturgical vestments of Catholic and Anglican churches) is the outermost vestment worn by a deacon at the Eucharist or Mass. Unlike the chasuble, it has two short sleeves. One of the earliest of the vestments - it dates from the fourth century. At a Pontifical High Mass, it is worn by the Bishop under the Chasuble. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
