Dagmar (November 29, 1921 – October 9, 2001) was a buxom television personality.

She was born in Huntington, West Virginia, United States, as Virginia Ruth Egnor . In the 1940s, she became a fashion photographer's model and later entered show business.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

She developed a very successful "dumb blonde" act, and appeared on such shows as Milton Berle's Texaco Star Theater, Broadway Open House, Dagmar's Canteen, and Hollywood Squares.

She was married three times, to Angelo Lewis, Danny Dayton and Richard Hinds. She died at age 79.

She is most famous for giving her stage name to the chrome bulges on the front bumper of many 1950s cars.
