It is published in Stockholm and aspires to full national and international coverage. It has the largest circulation of Swedish newspapers, followed by Göteborgs-Posten and Svenska Dagbladet, and opinion leaders usually choose DN as the venue for publishing major debate articles. The stated position of the editorial page is "independent liberal". The literal translation of the name is "The Daily News" (in the first page head, it is always written with a period at the end).
