Cybersite


 
 

A cybersite is a region of cyberspace -- the virtual universe in the children's tv math mystery cartoon Cyberchase.

Each cybersite is inhabited by "Cyborgs", the virtual inhabitants of cyberspace. Each site has it's own theme which suits the story line and the math concept behind each episode. These sites include:

  • "Mt.Olympus" A site modeled after mythological Greece, ruled by Zeus (Philip Bosco) (voice)
  • "Radopolis" the extreme sports world
  • "R-Fair City" An amusement park site
  • "Happily Ever After" a fractured fairy tale style site
  • "Symmetria" Where everything is symetrical under the leadership of Queen Ava (Jasmine Guy) (voice)
  • "Shangri-La" A peaceful kingdom ruled by Master Pi (Geoffrey Holder) (voice)
  • "The Cybrary" Repository of the knowledge of Cyberspace, kept by Ms. Fileshare, the Cybrarian (Jasmine Guy) (voice)
  • "Aquari-Yum" Underwater site where all the landmarks resemble food.
  • "Sensible Flats" the old American West
  • "The Northern Frontier," the icy lair of the nefarious Hacker.

 

Cyberspace: Cyberspace, a metaphoric abstraction used in philosophy and computing, is a (virtual) reality which represents the Noosphere/World 2 both "inside" computers and "on" computer networks....

Cyberchase: Cyberchase is a children's television show on PBS Kids GO!, produced by Thirteen/WNET New York and Nelvana. This television series premiered January 21 2002, although the episode "The Poddleville Case" was shown as a pilot on WNET in 2000. This show is for children ages 7 to 11....
