Crosshaven
Crosshaven (Bun an Tabhairne in Irish) is a village in County Cork, Ireland, famous for its Royal Cork Yacht Club. The club was established in 1720 and holds the title of the oldest in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The biannual Regatta of Cork Week (formerly Ford Cork Week due to the sponsorship of the Ford Motor Company) is one of the most famous in the world, drawing huge crowds of competitors and spectators. During the event the Gardai enforce strict traffic controls to avoid total gridlock.
