Critters (film series)
The Critters film series is a series of four horror, science fiction, and comedy films from New Line Cinema. The first film, called simply Critters, was released in 1986. The films are largely take-offs of the Gremlins films, but they enjoy some degree of cult popularity. One of the most famous aspects of the series is the alien creatures called Crites (or Krites) with their ability to roll into balls (like hedgehogs) and combine into a larger ball. In the original film, they also managed to grow to a larger size - a plot point dropped in all sequels. The storyline for all four films involving two bounty hunters from outer space hunting extraterrestial monsters in American suburban towns, except for the final film, which takes place on a space station. Terrence Mann appears in all four films as interstellar bounty hunter named Ug, and Don Keith Opper also appears in all four films as Charlie. Dee Wallace-Stone and Billy Zane have small roles in the first film. Scott Grimes starred in the first 2 films as Bradley Brown.
