CRISAT

CRISAT, short for Collaborative Research Into Small Arms Technology, is the EU-Nato standard in the manufacture of military equipment. The CRISAT Target is defined as a 1.6mm Titanium plate supplemented by 20 layers of Kevlar. Weapons are measured against this standard in respect to its ability to penetrate it, and protective equipment is manufactured to adhere to it.
