Cranston, Rhode Island
Cranston is a city located in Providence County, Rhode Island. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 79,269. Its mayor, since January 2003, is Stephen Laffey.
Transportation
Cranston has four freeways - I-95, I-295, RI 10 (the Huntington Expressway) and RI 37, as well as the arterial RI 2. Other state-numbered roads in Cranston are US 1, US 1A, RI 5, RI 12, RI 33, RI 51, RI 115 and RI 117.

Like the rest of Rhode Island, Cranston is served by Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) buses. Amtrak's Northeast Corridor passes through but does not have a station in Cranston.
