Cracker (U.S. television)

Cracker was a US television crime drama, and a remake of a British television series, also called Cracker. The US version starred Robert Pastorelli as Gerry Fitzgerald and was created in 1997. The series consisted of 16 hour-long episodes, many of which were almost identical to episodes of the original British series. Just to confuse matters, Robbie Coltrane, the star of the original series, appears as a villain in an episodes of the US remake. When the US show was shown in Britain it was retitled Fitz. It is generally considered to be vastly inferior to the original.
