Corna


 
 

The corna (Italian for horns) is a vulgar gesture common in Mediterranean countries, and in heavy metal and rock music, with a variety of meanings. It is also known as "devil horns", "goat horns", "throwing the goat", "Pommesgabel", "mano cornuta" or just "the horns". Its origins can be traced to ancient Greece.

This gesture is identical to the "Hook 'em Horns" gesture used by Texas Longhorns. In that context, it is used to approximate the shape of the horns of a Texas longhorn, and is not considered vulgar.
