Cord blood
Cord blood is human blood from the placenta and umbilical cord, which are left over after birth. Cord blood is collected after the umbilical cord has been detached from the newborn. Cord blood is saved in order to use the stem cells it contains. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
