Coordinate axis
A coordinate axis is one of a set of vectors that defines a coordinate system.

In a spherical coordinate system, coordinate axes are lines along which the angular coordinates are zero. In a Cartesian coordinate system, the coordinate axes represent the spans of the basis vectors of the system.
