Private Hotel Apartments 3 blocks from the new Whole Foods (oakland lake merritt / grand) $1400 1bd

This is a completely independent, separate, private apartment, which is totally furnished and equipped. The apartments have wonderful exposure to sunlight (and the back yard is a peaceful backdrop). See photos. Two are attached to this posting, or link to see more: http://picasaweb.google.com/arthurprit/HarrisonStOakland NOTE: Because I have extra furnishings, you can select which ones you would like to have in the apartment. I will remove what you don't want to use. The oak hardwood floors are now refinished, repaired and renewed with a soft luster. Call owner Arthur Pritchard for more info: 510 912-2887 (cell). Or visit our building at 2807 Harrison Street Oakland, California. It is a magnificant building and we think you would enjoy staying with us. We have off-street parking, laundry and back yard garden that is a peaceful place to read, barbeque, relax, etc.. LOCATION: We're located on Harrison near the First Congregational Church (up the street from the new Whole Foods which just opened two weeks ago..) There is also a new Traders Joe one half mile away It is a 15 minute walk (.7 mile) to the 19th St BART. The #11, #51 and #57 bus lines are all VERY close. Markets/Shops/Movies: Grand Ave, Lakeshore and Piedmont avenues are all within a very easy bike ride, drive, or a 20 minute leisurely walk. http://www.renaissancerialto.com/current/grandlake.htm FARMERS MARKETs: Closest one is on Saturdays on Grand Ave on Saturdays (15 min walk); Others in downtown Oakland and at Jack London Square (Sundays) LIBRARY is nearby. YMCA is only 6 blocks away. EXCELLENT location for someone who uses a bicycle as well as a car. We prefer minimum two month stays, but we can make exceptions. We have one space available September 1st. ABOUT US: We have a few long-term tenants, but we keep furnished apartments available for temporary rentals. We've discovered there is a need for this kind of rental, and these are examples of people who have been with us for 2 to 6 months: - visiting math professor at UC Berkeley (from Australia) - software consultant on a project for Kaiser (from Washington DC) - students on a semester at UC Berkeley (from Norway) - Parents visiting a child who just gave birth - Couples or individuals who have sold their home and not yet purchased the new home - people having a house remodeled (or repaired) and so on... Welcome to our neighborhood! We also do a similar thing, in Emeryville, which you may look at by viewing the Craigs List posting for 1039-45th St. Emeryville.
