Coneheads

The Coneheads was a recurring sketch on Saturday Night Live featuring a family of extraterrestrial aliens with cone-shaped heads, from the planet Remulak (posing as immigrants from France) and their attempts to pose as a typical suburban American family. The now-popular term "parental unit" came from the sketches.

The concept was turned into a movie, Coneheads, in 1993, written by and starring Dan Aykroyd, and Jane Curtin, who acted in the original Coneheads sketches.
