Barry and game show-partner Dan Enright along with Robert Noah and Buddy Piper, created Concentration. The first episode (hosted by Barry) aired August 25, 1958. This was shortly before the quiz show scandals broke, forcing Barry from his hosting duties. NBC assumed production of the fledgling show, and Hugh Downs became the host.
