Communion

Within Christianity the word communion can refer to:

• Communion - a close relationship between Christian Churches or communities, and by metonomy a group of such Churches or communities that recognize the existence between them of such a relationship, especially if it can be characterized as full communion
• The Communion of Saints, the concept of a link binding together all Christians (whom the New Testament calls "saints" (holy people) because of their consecration to God and Christ) and enabling them to share common blessings (holy things)
• Holy Communion - The Eucharist, The Lord's Supper or Holy Communion in its entirety or an aspect of the sacrament.
