Columbus Clippers
The Columbus Clippers are a Triple-A baseball team in the International League. The Clippers are affiliated with the New York Yankees and play at Cooper Stadium (formerly Franklin County Stadium) in Columbus, Ohio. The team began play in 1977 as an affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, changing its affiliation to the New York Yankees in 1979. The team and stadium are owned by the government of Franklin County, Ohio.
