Colorado Party (Uruguay)
The Colorado Party (Spanish: Partido Colorado) is a political party in Uruguay. It agroups both liberal and social-democrat groups.

It was the officialist party almost without interruption between the stablisment of the republic. Some of its major historical leaders were Fructuoso Rivera, Venancio Flores, José Batlle y Ordóñez, Luis Batlle Berres, Julio María Sanguinetti Coirolo and Jorge Batlle. At the last legislative elections, 31 October 2004, the party won % of the popular vote and out of 99 seats in the Chamber of Deputies and out of 31 in the Senate. Its presidential candidate, Jorge Luis Batlle Ibáñez, won the same day 10.4 % of the popular vote.
