Like its western neighbor, Germantown Tennessee, Collierville is a suburb of Memphis. Also like Germantown, Collierville is a mainly upscale town of large houses and some retail. But, unlike its neighbor, much still remains of the "old" town in Collierville, when it was less of a suburb than it was a self-contained community. Those smaller houses, and some industry, still dot the landscape in Collierville.
