Coin orientation
A feature of coins. When viewing one side of a coin with coin orientation, the coin must be flipped vertically in order to see the other side the correct way up. This is the most basic security feature on a coin, as most people have a tendency to flip a coin horizontally to see the reverse side. United States coins are oriented in this way.
