CNX (Cartoon Network Xtreme) was a channel operated by Cartoon Network in the UK and Ireland to promote programming considered 'less suitable' for younger viewers. It ran from 14 October 2002 until it became Toonami on 8 September 2003. It broadcast such series as the anime Cowboy Bebop, Dragon Ball Z, Gundam Wing and Outlaw Star, as well as ', Spawn Samurai Jack and Kung Fu, Birds of Prey, plus a few Martial arts films were also shown in the evenings. The channel also showcased the shows created for the United States Adult Swim block, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, Home Movies, Ripping Freinds, Sealab 2021, and Space Ghost Coast to Coast were all aired here. Since CNX's demise, none of these shows have been either repeated, or had their later seasons premiered.
