Clinton, Iowa

Clinton is a city located in Clinton County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 27,772. It is the county seat of Clinton County{{GR|6}}. Along with DeWitt, Iowa, it was named in honor of the seventh Governor of New York State, DeWitt Clinton.
