Clint Black


 

Clint Patrick Black (born February 4, 1962 in Long Branch, New Jersey, USA) is a country music singer, songwriter and producer. Growing up in Katy, Texas as the youngest of four brothers, Black took a passionate interest in music at age 13 teaching himself to play the harmonica and then guitar and bass. He dropped out of high school to play in his brother's band and played the local club circuit around Houston, Texas as he also ventured into songwriting. Soon, he and Hayden Nicholas began playing and writing songs together, soon signing with Bill Hamm (manager of ZZ Top, among others) at RCA Records. To date Black has charted a total of no less than 28 top 5 hit singles and sold several million albums worldwide.
