Cleveland Abbe
Cleveland Abbe (1838 – 1916) was a famous U.S. meteorologist and advocate of time zones. He is also noted as being the father of U.S. Weather Bureau and inaugurated the use of daily weather forecasts. He was also a genealogist, writing the history of his paternal family in the book The Abbe-Abbey Genealogy co-authored with Josephine Nichols.
