St. Clement Hofbauer (Clemens Maria Hofbauer) (December 26, 1751 - March 15, 1820) was a hermit and is the patron saint of Vienna.

Clement was born on the feast of Saint Stephen, in Tasovice (Tasswitz), Moravia. He was the ninth of twelve children born to Mary and Paul Hofbauer. Baptized the very next day, he was given the name of Hansl, or John, by which he would be known for more than twenty years until he entered a hermitage and took the name of Clement.
