Claudio Sanchez

Claudio Sanchez is the lead singer and rhythm guitarist for Coheed and Cambria, a progressive rock group. Sanchez also writes all of the band's lyrics and The Bag On Line Adventures comic series, which tells the science fiction story of Coheed and Cambria in more detail than the band's music. He is noted for his wide vocal range, often extending into the higher scales in the manner of Geddy Lee, lead singer of the progressive rock band Rush.

Sanchez is also in a side project called The Prize Fighter Inferno; which has only released one song, "I'm Going to Kill You". Sanchez also appears on his bandmate Travis' side project dubbed 'Fire Deuce' (backing vocals) which released "Children of the Deuce" in 2005, an 80's style rock album reminiscent of Iron Maiden - hence the album's title.

He has seen both Shabutie (Coheed's previous incarnation, with Penelope EP in 2000 as well as the Delirium Trigger EP that same year) and Coheed and Cambria through numerous albums, including their newest, ambitiously entitled "Good Apollo I'm Burning Star IV Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness," which is currently at #2 on the Billboard online album charts and #7 on the regular album charts.

In addition to music, Sanchez has released the first two comics in a series of six chronicling their first installment "The Second Stage Turbine Blade" as well as the recent graphic novel companion of Good Apollo.
