Clarence Seedorf

Clarence Seedorf (born April 1, 1976 in Paramaribo, Suriname) is a Dutch football (soccer) player, who currently plays for AC Milan in Serie A.

Career in the "Elftal"

For the "Elftal", the Netherlands, Seedorf has been capped over 60 times. He played for his country in {{Ec|96}}, the {{Wc|1998}}, {{Ec2|2000}}, and {{Ec2|2004}}.

A talented midfielder, many have suggested that his career could have been even more impressive if he had not let an argumentative and rebellious streak get the better of him on several occasions. In addition, he had a long history of underperforming in critical moments in the Elftal.

As of 2005, Seedorf has been constantly snubbed by current coach Marco van Basten, who refuses to nominate him for the Elftal.
