Civil War Preservation Trust
The Civil War Preservation Trust is a non-profit organization devoted to the preservation of American Civil War battlefields. The Trust, based in Washington, D.C., also promotes educational programs and heritage tourism initiatives to inform the public of the war's origins and history.

As of mid-2005, the Trust has protected 21,300 acres (86 km²) at 93 battlefield sites in 19 states. It publishes an annual report entitled History Under Siege: America's Most Endangered Civil War Battlefields. In 2005, the ten most-endangered sites were:
