City of Westminster

The City of Westminster is a London borough and a city in its own right, situated to the west of the City of London and north of the River Thames. It forms part of Inner London.

It gained London borough status and was extended in 1965 to include the former Metropolitan Boroughs of St. Marylebone and Paddington in the north; as such, it covers a much wider area than the traditional geographic area of Westminster.
