Cittaslow

Cittaslow, (literally slow town, but rendered into English as Slow City) is a movement founded in Italy in July of 2000. The inspiration of Cittaslow was the Slow Food organization, and its goal was to resist the homogenization and "Americanization" of cities, where standardized franchise stores dominate.
