Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington
Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) is a Washington, DC-based organization dedicated to fighting corruption by government officials by means of creative litigation. It styles itself as broad, mainstream, and concerned with public policy, in distinction to similar efforts that have been more conservative, partisan, or related to private conduct. Nonetheless, conservatives have described CREW as being a "liberal" organization, pointing to past ties between CREW staff and prominent Democrats.
