Peter of Dusburg was a priest of the Teutonic Order and this is the only reliable fact about this person, the rest are speculations. Initially it was thought he was from Duisburg, and in many texts he is referred to as Peter of Duisburg. Later an equally valid hypothesis of Marzena Pollakowna was accepted by many that he came from Doesburg.
