Christopher Moltisanti

Christopher Moltisanti (sometimes called Chrissy), played by Michael Imperioli, is one of Tony Soprano's men on the HBO TV series, The Sopranos.

Christopher is Carmela's first cousin. He is Tony's protegé in the crime family and recently became a "made man." Tony has looked out for Christopher over the years, as he never had a father figure growing up (Christopher's actual father, Dickie, was a mob figure who was killed when Christopher was very young). Christopher now acts as Tony's lieutenant, issuing orders from Tony in order to protect Tony from potential racketeering charges.

However, Christopher has his share of problems. He is often violent and impulsive, frequently creating messes that he must extricate himself from. He also had problems with his usage of heroin, eventually being forced into rehab by Tony, his friends and his long-time girlfriend (and eventually fiancée), Adriana La Cerva.

After Christopher learned that Adriana was reluctantly providing information to the FBI, he immediately told Tony, who ordered Adriana killed by Patsy. Tony got Adriana alone with Silvio by telling her that Christopher had attempted suicide and that he was sending Silvio to drive her to the hospital. Christopher displayed no remorse for his direct involvement in his fiancée's murder but later wept in Tony's presence, telling him that he loved her.
