Christina Chambers

Christina Mae Chambers (born October 24, 1969, in Alexandria, Virginia, USA) is an American actress and print model.

Chambers was born into a family of academics, both parents holding doctorates. Her father's in physics and her mother's in mathematics. Christina Chambers is the youngest of four siblings. Although, she's been blessed with a models face, Christina admits to being a tomboy at heart, and has never been very interested in her appearance. This non fasination at odds with her choise of career which is very image orientated. Although, her mother informed her at the age of six when she made her first acting deput that she looked petrified. Christina doesn't recall this, and says she always knew that she'd become an actress.

Christina studied Shakespeare at the Catholic University of America in Washngton, D.C. and spent a semester in Stratford on Avon, London studying with the Royal Shakespeare Company; where she played Goneril in . During her regional theatre Productions she played Viola in TWELFTH NIGHT; Rita in PRELUDE TO A KISS; Belinda in THE FAMILY OF MANN; Alicia in OUT OF ORDER; Alexandria in VANITIES; Rootie in GRACELAND and Cheryl in R.G.B.

After joining the Shenandoah Shakespeare Express, Christina went on tour. During which time she won the covetted role of Juliet in ROMEO & JULIET, she also played Sampson. She played Octavia in ANTONY & CLEOPATRA; Titania;Hippolyta;Egeus;Philostrate and Snug in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM.

But after leaving the tour it was while she was in New York that she took the big step away from Shakespeare. Christina was spotted by a New York commercial agency and they signed her, but it was by pure accident that she ended up with a New York print modeling agent.

However, it was her meeting Peter (who has agencies in New York and Lost Angeles)during a New York showcase that starting the acting career rolling. There began her first venture into the World of Films, Television and soaps.

Christina appeared in the low budget film LIFE 101, she got the part ofMaria Torres-Evans(1998-1999) in SUNSET BEACH, after that show ended she managed to get a role playing Taylor Jones in the MTV soap SPYDER GAMES, Laura in the low budget flim SCAM, Jacklyn Smith in the tv movie, Played Molly Peterson Conlan McKinnon #2 on As the World Turns, and Stephanie in the indie movie Fighting Tommy Riley, the winner of the Kodak film festival award, based on an Oscar winning script penned by J.P Davis who played Tommy in the film.
