Christina Aguilera

Christina Maria Aguilera (born December 18 1980 in Staten Island, New York), colloquially known as Xtina, is an American popular music singer-songwriter. She is most often recognized by her notable vocal abilities and unorthodox fashion sense. Her vocal skills have been compared to those of singers such as Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, and she is one of the most prominent recording artists of her generation. She has achieved four number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as two top five albums and four Grammy Awards in the United States.

Voice

In 2003, Aguilera was voted as having the third-greatest female voice in music in Blender Magazine and MTV's countdown of "The Twenty-Two Greatest Voices in Music" placed her at number five (beaten by, among others, Mariah Carey, who came first, and Whitney Houston, who came second).
