Chris Botti
Chris Botti (born 1962) is a smooth jazz trumpeter. His famous muted trumpet is the same model that was once used by Miles Davis. He played in Sting's band for several years. Botti is known for his unique and rare emotional sound. He plays a Martin Committee trumpet made 1940 Handicraft and a mouthpiece from Bach made in 1921 Mt Vincent Bach Corp 3C. He has performed with artists such as Sting, Josh Groban, Dave Koz, Jeff Lorber, Brain Culberston.

Several tabloids have claimed that Botti had been seen dating NBC's Today Show anchor, Katie Couric, although additional sources dispute this.
