Chippendale, New South Wales
Chippendale is a small inner suburb of Sydney, Australia, sandwiched between Broadway to the north and Cleveland Street to the south, and Sydney Central railway station to the east and the University of Sydney to the west. It is primarily residential, and has the lowest open space per person of any Sydney suburb, according to The Sydney Morning Herald. Chippendale is named for Thomas Chippendale. It is notable for being the location of the 168 year old Carlton & United brewery, although this has now been closed to open the valuable land to residential development. The University of Technology, Sydney has a campus in the suburb.
