Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show is a garden show held each year for four days in May by the Royal Horticultural Society, Chelsea, London, England.

History

Originally called The Royal Horticultural Society's Great Spring Show, the history of the Chelsea Flower Show goes back to 1852 when the show was held in the RHS's gardens in Kensington, London.

The show moved to Chelsea and was renamed in 1912 when a popular one off event, The Royal International Horticultural Exhibition, was held in the Royal Hospital, organised by Sir Harry Veitch. The Chelsea Flower Show has taken place at the Royal Hospital almost every year since.
