Charles Tufts


 

Charles Tufts (1781 - 1876) was an American businessman. Tufts donated twenty acres (80,000 m²) of land in Medford, Massachusetts for what was to be named Tufts University. In time, Charles Tufts donated another 80 acres (320,000 m²), bring the campus to 100 acres (400,000 m²).
