Charles Cayley
Charles Bagot Cayley (1823 - 1883) was a linguist best known for translating Dante into the metre of the original, with annotations, besides metrical versions of the "Iliad," the "Prometheus" of Ęschylus, the "Canzoniere" of Petrarch. Apparently he courted poet Christina Rossetti but she rejected him.
