Chamillionaire

Chamillionaire (pronounced "Kamillionaire," born Hakeem Seriki on November 28, 1979) is a rapper from the northside of Houston, Texas, specifically Acres Homes, who also uses the names The Mixtape Messiah and King Koopa professionally. He was born to a Muslim father and Christian mother and was raised in both faiths (he is currently a Christian). He is known for his ability to effortlessly change tempo and rhyme scheme of his rapping within a single song, and for the rapid, clear, and distinct quality of his delivery and voice. He is regarded by many hip-hop fans as one of the most lyrically talented emcees in the South, and has publicly stated that his aim is to prove that the South can produce New York-quality lyricists. He is also a talented hook writer and usually sings and harmonizes with himself (using double-tracked vocals) on his own hooks. In 2005, Chamillionaire signed a record deal for with Universal Records. His first major solo release is entitled The Sound of Revenge, and is scheduled to appear in September 2005. The album's lead single is entitled "Turn it up" and is produced by Scott Storch (#1 hits "Lean Back" by Terror Squad and "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent).

Chamillionaire has also appeared on the soundtrack of 2005's re-make version of 1974's Longest Yard that stars Adam Sandler. His song was entitled "Talkin' That Talk" which featured the Mississppi Rap Star David Banner.
