Chaim Gingold

Chaim's fame came from his work with the computer game Spore. Many of his fans will know him as a fun-loving guy, but he is serious about his highly regarded work. He has jammed at the Indie Game Jam, presented at the Game Developers Conference, and is an active participant in the academic game studies community.

Chaim was born in Haifa on January 15, 1980 to Monique and Harry Gingold. He has a younger brother Yotam and a younger sister Naomi.

Chaim grew up in Morgantown, West Virginia where his father works as a professor of mathematics at West Virginia University, and his mother is a Pediatric Neurologist. He attended West Virginia University, where he studied computer science, english, and art. After college, Chaim headed to the Georgia Institute of Technology to study digital design, and he currently works as a designer for Maxis. Chaim lives in Berkeley, CA.
