Chaerephon was Socrates' friend, and he was also his follower. Chaerephon was a supporter of the Athenian Democracy (as in Political) and thus he suffered persecution when the democracy was temporarily deposed after the defeat of Athens under Sparta. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
